Dear Friends,
For artist Upasana Mishra, the River, as it journeys to merge with the ocean, becomes the metaphor of the quest for realisation and inner peace. The journey of the River from it’s origin to it’s final destination resembles much of the inner landscape of the journey of one’s own life. Along the River one encounters different places, some real, some mythical, where one may glimpse answers to the eternal quest of Truth.
Along the River, one also encounters different streams, bridges, towns, entering strange backwaters to finally meet the ocean where one finds oneself dissolving into its unfathomable depth.
This is the final destination where one’s ego is relinquished and is united with the Universal Consciousness, the Bindu of Creation, the Mystical Space where the Cycle of Life, Death and Regeneration are re-enacted over and over again.
