KamaRia Gallery/Garden studio became an intimate venue for a talk on sustainable agricultural/gardening solutions. The talk was organised by the Selangor and Federal Territory Gardening Society on Saturday 4 March, 2023, whose President is Dr Arlene Ngah, who was also present.
The guest speaker, Mr Steven Chan, Managing Director of BIONERS Solutions & Services (M) Sdn Bhd, enlightened members on the nature of soil and how to deal with plant pests and diseases. Mr Chan’s engaging talk dispelled many misconceptions and doubts on soil and gardening practices and would help improve members’ gardening skills, simultaneously enhancing their knowledge of basic gardening.
The talk was interesting and interactive. Vimala Sundaram was excellent as Emcee and contextualised the relevant gists of the talk.
Dr Ting Seng Ho, a soil expert who runs an organic farm in Kuala Pilah gave a passionate plea on the need to have empathy with Nature and reminded us of the fact that our spaceship Earth is a closed system. We reap what we sow!
Members of SFTGS were delighted with the discussion and enjoyed the sylvan garden surroundings of KamaRia which provided the right ambience for the talk.
