This is the last of the series of online Rentak Bumi videos commissioned by ArtFas (an initiative of Yayasan Hasanah).
This seventh video of Rentak Bumi represents the gist which summarises the various activities featured live during the last 3 days of performances of Rentak Bumi at Sutra House, hosted by Sutra Foundation and associated with Surprise Ventures.
It must be mentioned that the creative synergy between the three companies has been simply wonderful and it was truly a pleasure and privilege for Sutra to collaborate with DiDance and Dua Space Dance Theatre.
One must remember that this 3-day effort was one of the rare post-MCO live performances allowed with SOP, just after the latter was lifted. As event was mainly executed outside, the weather too corroborated to make the event a perfect under-the-star, 3-day multi-cultural offering of ArtsFas-tival!
This video not only captures the highlights of the live performances but also is a marvelous record of the diversity of dances (traditional and modern) found in Malaysia. It is a testimony of the precious and fluid interactive moments where barriers between artistes and audiences were non-existent. The savouring of the exquisitely designed & prepared Malay vegan cuisine dishes of Chef Adu was also palpable and so was the elegant exhibition of compelling photographs of Sutra’s recently launched book, Kumbha Mela.
It can be said that Rentak Bumi was definitely a significant high-point in the cultural calendar of Malaysia 2021.
