POSTPONEMENT OF ACTIVITIES DUE TO COVID-19

Published Date:

March 17, 2020

Dear Friends & Students of Sutra,

With much regret Sutra Foundation announces the postponement of it’s immediate activities until further notice. This is in line with the government’s directive to restrict public movement and gatherings. In this uncertain times we are deeply saddened, but cognizant that our first priority must always be the safety and well-being of our postponed (1)patrons, staff and dancers and also the greater community at large. Artists who have committed time and money to events which have to be postponed, are one of the hardest hit by this global pandemic.

To Sutra’s patrons and sponsors, who have most kindly donated to our coming productions, we thank you for your caring generosity. Pls be assured, the events are postponed temporarily and not cancelled. We are actually in the process of securing alternative dates for the postponed events.

To those who seek refund on purchased/postponed performances, we ask for your patience. Pls call us (03-40211092) during office hours for further clarification.

We are forever grateful for your understanding and with your help we will remain positive in these challenging times.

We thank you for supporting Malaysian Theatre and for sure our activities will continue as per normal once this is over.

Performances and lecture immediately affected are:

1. Indigenous textile of Odisha by Pankaja Sethi (25 March, ICC)

2. Triple Frontiers (Odissi) (27 – 29 March, PJ Civic Centre)

3. In Pieces directed by Weijun, 9 – 12 April, Studio Ramli Hassan

4. Dance classes to be on-hold until 31 March when students will be further notified.

Thank you and stay safe!

Ramli & Sutra Team
