Dua Space Dance Theatre is a leading contemporary modern dance company in Malaysia. Malaysia is blessed to have very dedicated dancers and choreographers who have dedicated their lives to their chosen field, which is Dance. Two of the most talented artists I’ve watched over the decades are Aman Yap and Anthony Meh, the two co-founders and artistic directors of Dua Space Dance Theatre. Both have contributed greatly to the legacy of Malaysian Contemporary Modern Dance.
One of the amazing dance talents who have emerged from Dua Space is Kenny Leow who has wow-ed Malaysia audience with his amazing dance prowess. Dua Space have collaborated in numerous productions with Sutra, the most recent being the George Town Festival.
Some of you may even remember Kenny’s wonderfully compelling pas de deux with Sutra’s principal dancer, Geethika Sree in Stravinsky’s Firebird at the MPO (2015). Therefore, it is a pleasure to have Kenny teach our dancers a series of 3-day contemporary dance class at Sutra.
