Nritya Kalanjali Dance Academy
Nritya Kalanjali Dance Academy Malaysia, an academy of Indian Classical, Bharathanatyam& Folk Dance. Nritya Kalanjali, a dance academy established in 1996 to promote the Indian classical dance, Bharatanatyam and various folk dance forms of India in northern Malaysia. Since then, the institution has established branches in Ipoh, Cameron Highlands and Kuala Lumpur.
The founder and the principal of the academy, Srimathi Sudha Thamothiran, learned Bharatanatyam under Srimathi MeeraVenugopal, one of the senior disciples of the world famous dancers, Mr & Mrs Dhanajayans of Bharata Kalanjali, Chennai, India. Sudha further enhanced her knowledge under well known dancer, Mr Chandrabhanu and Mdm Maidhili of Trivandrum, Kerala, India.
Over the years, Nritya Kalanjali has produced many talented young dancers who have won accolades in dance competitions. The dancers of Nritya Kalanjali have been performing extensively in Malaysia, Australia and also in India.
