Over 20 Sutra dancers participated in the workshop presented by Guru Smt Maalika Panicker and Guru Smt Jayasree Harikrishnan at Sutra.
The workshop gave much insight to the essence of the technique of Mohiniattam, which was amply demonstrated and explained by Maalika & Jayasree.
It was wonderfully timed just before their actual studio performance of these very compelling and yet different dancers, that prepared us to appreciate their performance.
The intense workshop made us able to understand the dynamics of this interesting classical art form regarded as the female counterpart of the Kathakali.
