The first piece powerfully evoked Bali’s culture and history, with which I am quite familiar.
The piece on Sappho, I felt, was ready to take to New York. The music, the interpretation, the choreography and, definitely, the feeling – all combined into a riveting multilayered performance.
A truly powerful, intellectual, and profound piece.
And the P. Ramlee tribute was a wonderful light-hearted and joyous piece to send us home on.
