𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐡𝐚 𝐑𝐚𝐣𝐲𝐚𝐦 𝐓𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐝, 𝐝𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐑𝐚𝐦𝐚, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐡 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐧𝐮.
Members of the working committee especially Mr Gobee Achudan and Chairman, Datuk Dr Senasi must be congratulated for spearheading the construction of this temple.
The project would not be possible without the support of Falkland Avenue Sdn Bhd which has played an important role in providing the land and supervising the temple building. The project is an impressive multiracial effort of several communities and institutions working together to spearhead this honourable idea of the Maha Rajyam Temple.
It is note worthy that the Temple will also act as a Community Centre for the district, catering for the positive empowerment of youths, holding courses of mentoring digital technologies (AI) apart from classes that aim to uplift the moral and spiritual values of youths of the surrounding district.
Tan Sri Dr Subramaniam, former Minister of Health was the guest of honour. Mr Shanmugham, the officer in-charge of Indian Affairs from the PM department gave a rousing speech promising future betterment of the Indian community. We were elated with the announcement of a donation of RM50k from the PM department towards the project.
Sutra dancers lifted the spirit of the guests with a beautiful Odissi performance. The performance dramatically featured a procession of the entourage of Lord Rama and Sita.
Subsequently, the Shankarabharanam Pallavi was performed that deftly alluded to the episodes and protagonists of the Ramayana, the great Indian epic (Maha Kavya) which has continued to inspire us, even in Southeast Asia.
