Greetings from Sutra.
We are delighted to invite you to a special exhibition of hand-coloured dark room prints by Eric Peris – ERIC-ISMS. These ‘one of its kind’ A/P prints, based on Nature, were created from 1995 to 1998.
Eric Peris, Malaysia’s prominent and celebrated ‘father of modern photography’, was the undisputed creative force who convinced Malaysians that photography is ‘Art’. How he was able to do this made Eric’s Zen approach towards his work, a trend for subsequent younger photographers to study and emulate. This was the form of ‘ism’ that Eric explored in his amazing journey of ‘seeing’ the micro within the macro, and vice versa.
