Dear Friends,
July is one of the busiest months in 2024 for Sutra with exhibitions, lectures and performances galore, one after another, keeping us on our toes.
In fact, we are presently bracing ourselves for our participation in the International Ramayana Festival in Bangkok. This will be the highlight of the 72nd birthday anniversary celebration of the King of Thailand.
15 Sutra artistes will be involved in a series of performances between 12 – 15 July in many of the prestigious venues including the huge Cultural Centre in Bangkok.
Upon returning to Kuala Lumpur on 17 July we will be right smack on the intense preparation of the illustrated lecture by arts scholar, Dr Rajashree, at the NSCBICC; the launch of painting exhibition of well known Indian artist, Birendra Pani at Sutra Gallery; and finally the premiere of a new contemporary modern dance production (Malam Bulan di Pagar Bintang).
Though too much on our plate we can’t possibly miss this opportunity of performing Jaya Ram_, in Bangkok, Sutra’s acclaimed Odissi production, together with the major government arts institutions of ASEAN, performing in the same festival.
We need your blessing to get through this month!
Sutra.
