Dear friends

Recently, on 29 April, 2022, Datuk Ramli Ibrahim was invited to the celebration of the 72nd Foundation Day of Indian Council of Cultural Relations (ICCR) at the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose India Cultural Centre (NSCBICC), Kuala Lumpur Malaysia.

The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), New Delhi, an autonomous organization of the Ministry of External Affairs of India, promotes awareness and appreciation of India’s composite cultural heritage abroad. The ICCR was founded in 1950 by Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad, independent India’s first Education Minister.

HE Shri BN Reddy (High Commissioner of India to Malaysia) and Mrs Ramya Hiriyanniah (Director of NSCBICC) acted as hosts. Special guest YB Dato’ Seri Dr Santhara (Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia), was present along with Prof Dr Krishna Rampal (First recipient of ICCR scholarship in the early 70’s) Dr Paramjothy (President of Temple of Fine Arts, KL) and Datuk Ramli Ibrahim.

Carnatic music, yoga and kathak students showed their talents and it was a wonderful post-Covid evening of getting together once again.
